Will be there until Monday night. Looking forward to some warmer weather and beautiful buildings!
It’s like, a 10 hour coach journey though…
If you want to get a really great upper body workout you don’t need to go to the gym or spend a lot of money buying weights. The fact is weight is weight and it doesn’t have to be covered in neoprene to be useful for getting in shape. Almost all of us have a backpack laying around so put it to use by packing it with some books or anything of weight around you and start shaping and strengthening your upper body. Doing any of my other 31 day challenges? The challenge fits perfectly with any of the other plans. You can check them out here -

Actually got round to doing some proper studying today :)
Listened to a 10 minute Spanish podcast, then did a small amount of French before finally picking up one of my Chinese textbooks and doing around 1 hr 30 mins of revision broken up into 25 minute sessions. Decided to start right from the beginning and go over some basics.
It’s bad but this is pretty much the first time I’ve sat down to some serious Chinese study since getting here O_o I’m going away from Friday till Monday but when I get back I really need to try and get back into the habit of practicing Mandarin otherwise I’ll fall hard on my face when I actually go to China in March!
*shudders at the thought*
And this is why twisting poses help so much with not only detoxifying the body by literally rinsing your internal organs like a sponge, but also helps with digestion as twisting compresses, expands, and massages your intestines. This can remove blockages and help keep things “moving” ;)

An open ask box
So my French housemate left, among other things, a jar of chickpeas when she went back home and I was inspired to try something new because I’ve never cooked with them before.
That something new was very tasty!
Garbanzos con Bacon y Espinaca/ Chickpeas with Bacon and Spinach.
Fry diced onions, pepper and courgette in a pan with olive oil until the onion is soft. (You can add to or substitute these with other veggies like carrots and aubergines, I tend to use whatever’s in the fridge).
Add in chopped bacon and finely diced garlic and keep frying until the bacon is cooked to your liking.
Add in chickpeas (either pre-cooked by you or from a jar/tin). If they are from a tin, give them a really good rinse to get rid of the juice they come packaged in. Also, at this point add any seasonings you have. I used ground thyme, mixed herbs, pimiento, salt and pepper.
Pour in around 150ml of water and bring everything to the boil, before turning down the temperature and letting it simmer.
If you’re using frozen spinach, add it here and take everything off the heat once it’s completely thawed. If using fresh, add it right at the end.
And voilà! You have an amazing, tasty, healthy meal that can be eaten alone or as a side :)
